Objective:

Demonstrate an understanding of global diversity and individuality.

This objective focuses on one’s understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion. My time at Emerson has broadened my perspective and given me a more nuanced appreciation for the importance of creating inclusive environments for everyone. 

I’ve chosen to include a presentation I made for a class that focused on leadership in business. I decided to create a plan that sought to diversify the (primarily white) salon I worked at through college in order to cater to a wider range of clientele. I think this presentation demonstrates my commitment continually seeking ways to improve my workspaces by creating more inclusive environments.
